What is a Mandala?
Mandala (मण्डल) is a Sanskrit word that means "circle". In the Hindu and Buddhist religious traditions, their sacred art often takes a mandala form. The basic form of most Hindu and Buddhist mandalas is a square with four gates containing a circle with a center point.
In common use, mandala has become a generic term for any plan, chart or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically, a microcosm of the Universe from the human perspective.

Veeno's Mandalas
Veeno's Mandala art is intuitive. She uses the form of the Mandala to put geometry in art. According to her, the circle with its center is a perfect place to represent energy on the material plane.
Veeno's uses water color pencils, acrilic and various metal foils for her Art Mandalas.
The sizes of the pictures range from 20x20 (50x50cm) inches up to 32x32 inches (81x81cm) including matting.
